YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy, in plain words.

Updated 23 September 2026. This notice describes the SiftCut beta website operated by Claus Kaufmann.

What you share

The beta form collects your name, email, type of filmmaking, optional setup details, and your permission to contact you about the beta. The contact form collects your name, email, message, and permission to respond. Please do not send private footage or sensitive information.

How it is used

Beta details are used to assess testing needs and contact you about SiftCut beta access. Contact details are used to answer your request. These forms do not subscribe you to unrelated marketing or initiate a purchase.

Where it is stored

Submissions are stored in a private directory outside the public website on our 1blu hosting account. A notification containing your submission is also sent to info@siftcut.com through our hosting provider’s mail service, with your email as the reply address. Submissions are not displayed publicly or added to a marketing platform. The hosting provider processes website traffic and may maintain operational access logs.

Essential security

When you interact with a form, an essential session cookie helps protect it against forged submissions. Short-lived, hashed network and email identifiers limit repeated submissions. A hidden spam field and a minimum form-fill time help reject automated requests. The application does not save your raw IP address with your message. This site uses no advertising cookies, analytics scripts, or third-party font services.

Retention and removal

Website backup records are kept for approximately six months unless you ask for earlier removal. Email copies are managed separately in our mailbox and are not automatically deleted by website cleanup. Expired records are removed during subsequent form processing. You can ask to access, correct, or remove your details, or withdraw permission for beta contact, using the contact form. Include the email address you used so we can locate the record.

Your footage

This website does not accept footage uploads. The product’s currently documented prototype analyzes music locally and works with local media. Any future beta with different data handling will need its own explanation.
